Manage a team of financial analysts who perform internal financial reporting & analysis, as well as serve as an analyst for the SVP of the region the manager supports.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of financial analysts and monitor the support analysts give to the technical asset teams which includes review of monthly financial reports for accuracy, monthly accruals for LOE and AFE line items, managing capital forecast, budget planning, quarterly activity reviews, review and approval of asset management profiles, research and analysis of operating expenses, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Serves as the financial analyst for the SVP of the asset area the analyst supports.
  • Assists executives and other managers with special reports and projects on request.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper training for new analysts.
  • Responsible for monthly employee open book management meetings including preparing schedules, presentation, and meeting materials.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work.
  • Works closely with other managers to monitor and maintain accurate asset reporting
  • Provides corporate reporting with analysis of asset areas
  • Ensures settlement is run monthly for AFE projects to produce accurate financials

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages personnel and conducts employee performance evaluations.
  • Supervises, as needed/assigned, hiring and retention of personnel.
  • Establishes and maintains regular and ongoing written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end-users regarding pertinent development activities.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Engaged with others reporting function and IT to continually improve our reporting methods and tools

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years minimum of financial analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of current industry environment and standards.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
    • Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Preferred: SAP and PowerBI

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in accounting, finance, business or management information systems.
  • Preferred: Masters of Business Administration, Master of Science in Accountancy or equivalent experience.

  • None required.
