Position Overview

Position Summary:
Eastern New Mexico University is seeking doctoral applicants for a full-time faculty member. This is a 10-month tenure-track position with Assistant or Associate professor rank (dependent on experience) with possible extended contract and/or summer employment options. Academic rank, salary, and other duty eligibility will be commensurate with education and experience. This is a residential appointment and campus presence is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching primary graduate and possible undergraduate courses in CDIS
  • Supervising graduate student clinicians in SLP
  • Service, research, and other scholarly activity expectations determined by academic rank
  • Assist with ASHA accreditation compliance as assigned
  • Participate in regular program, departmental, and university activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:
The candidate should present: 1) CCC-SLP; 2) Earned doctorate (Ph.D or Ed.D preferred); 3) at least two years of CDIS practice experience; and 4) eligibility for NM licensure as SLP.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to excellence in teaching students of diverse backgrounds.

Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
