Nocturnal Nursing Supervisor - Helen Porter Skilled Nursing

We are seeking either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse to join us as a Nurse Supervisor. This position provides clinical leadership and supervisory support for all three nursing units at Helen Porter - Memory Care, Long Term Care and Post-Acute Care.

Hours for this position will be 10:45pm - 7:15am.

This position is eligible for shift differentials:

• Provide supervision of the nursing staff.
• Promote collaboration and teamwork through staff coaching and mentoring.
• Monitor staffing levels and make adjustments as appropriate or clinically indicated.
• Conduct safety rounds on all three nursing units while on duty.
• Assist with clinical assessments and interventions as needed.
• Serve as a point person with any significant change in condition that results in death or transfer to an acute care facility.
• Communicate important information to next shift charge nurse.
• Communicate facility issues, concerns or grievances to the appropriate contact person.
• Initiate investigation of resident or family member grievances.
• Interpret, support, and enforce facility policies and procedures.
• Participate and support quality improvement initiatives as assigned.

The bonus will be paid out in three equal installments: 90 days, 1 years, 2 years. Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.

Educational Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LPN license in good standing, recognized by The State of Vermont State Board of Nursing.

Experience

• Three or more years of experience in post-acute or long-term care as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• One year of supervisory experience with demonstrated clinical skills and decision-making capabilities.
