Your Role at Baxter:

This position will act as mass spectrometry laboratory analyst for:

  • Laboratory testing and analytical method development/validation/transfer using mass spectrometry techniques (LC-MS/MS)

  • Technical investigation

  • Impurities strategy (ICH Q3)

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide support for laboratory testing as part of R&D projects for sustaining product on the market or new product development,

  • Participate to development, evaluation and/or validation of new analytical methods to analyze raw materials and finished products in the frame of R&D projects, targeted LCMS analysis will mainly be the technique used.

  • Document and review results in electronic laboratory notebooks according to established GDP procedures.

  • Create and update equipment and analytical procedures, participate in the ordering of raw materials, analytical material or equipment pieces.

  • Interpret experimental data and present conclusions to supervisor.

  • Write comprehensive protocols and reports in English.

  • Adhere to the quality system requirements and ensure GMP and GDP standards; also adhere to general and specific environmental, health and safety guidelines.

  • Maintain laboratory reagents, materials and equipment as directed, including obtaining such items, maintaining materials and equipment in good operating order.

  • If needed, participate / support / organize the productions of feasibility and development batches of different formulations.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline (chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences) with 3+ years' experience or Master's degree with 1+ years

  • Must have working knowledge in areas associated with mass spectroscopy and chromatography (gas and/or liquid)

  • Communication skills to build relationships across functional and geographical boundaries and present technical results/plans to technical and non-technical teams

  • Personal responsibility and independent ownership of analysis and results.

  • A good understanding of ICH guidelines and cGxP practice

  • Must be able to challenge the status quo and demonstrate a pro-active attitude

  • Ability to adapt to changes and to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to identify risks, issues and opportunities and communicate to supervisor and customer

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $88,000 to $121,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
