Requisition ID req31678 Working Title Psychology Research Lab Assistant Position Grade 06 Position Summary The Cognitive & Affective Neuroscience of Psychopathology (CANoPy; PI: Dr. Jeremy Hogeveen) Lab in the UNM Department of Psychology invites applicants for a Research Assistant (RA) position working on behavioral and neuroimaging projects. RAs in the CANoPy lab are given the opportunity to play an integral role in designing and programming experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and working on manuscripts and conference presentations. This particular RA post will be focused primarily on developed analysis routines for a magnetoencephalography (MEG) dataset that was recently collected in the lab. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists with data collection, organization, and maintenance of research project (i.e. interviewing participants, compiling and reporting data, etc.). 2. Research data entry and database maintenance and management. 3. Assists with laboratory research in conducting assessments and contacting research participants. 4. Sets up and delivers a variety of research apparatus (equipment being used) as required for the individual research project. 5. Collects and logs research data in strict accordance to pre-established protocol and procedural parameters. 6. Maintain IRB compliance in association with research of human subjects. 7. Protects human subject data in compliance with HIPAA regulations. 8. Other job-related duties as assigned. See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities which may include practicum. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
