The Phoenixoffice of SmithGroupis looking for aInterior Designer - Science & Technologyto join our team.

Working with us, you will:



  • Manage projects, including negotiating project scope and fees, job production and quality, and lead construction administration efforts.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and complete construction document packages.
  • Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate FF&E materials and products.
  • Research information and create graphics for inclusion in marketing proposals and materials.
  • Serve as a resource on interior design issues to others in the office, as well as oversee the design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design.
  • Lead client presentations and visioning sessions to develop programs for clients.
  • Be responsible for meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.



An ideal candidate has:



  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.
  • 8-12 years of related experience and Science & Technology projects of varying types and complexity.
  • LEED AP preferred. Architectural or Interior Design registration preferred.
  • Experience in Revit and AutoCAD with 3-D modeling capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead as a key member of the project team.
  • The ability to produce and coordinate a complete set of construction documents for permitting and bidding on projects.

While we may ultimately pay more or less than a posted salary range, at the time of posting the anticipated salary range for this position is $62,000 to $69,000 annually and you are eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
