Nurse Practitioner Per Diem - ADT Screening and Acute Care PARN Screening Acute Care Clinic Per Diem 82713BR Job Summary Bayfront Urgent Care Clinic at Mission Bay and the Screening and Acute Care Clinic at Parnassus provide Urgent Care evaluations and treatment for serious yet non-life-threatening acute medical problems in adults age 18 and older. These clinics offer a fast-paced dynamic working environment. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the Medical Director, Administrative Director, and Nurse Manager. The NP performs physical examinations, orders appropriate diagnostic tests, formulates diagnoses, and treats common episodic and acute health care complaints. They must be able to work variable shifts including 12 hr shifts, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays as needed as well as working at multiple clinic locations. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate). A minimum of six (6) months experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care or Emergency Department. Required Qualifications Two (2) or more years of experience in specialty area (Urgent Care, Emergency Department, Primary Care) as an RN or NP. A minimum of six (6) months experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care or Emergency Department. Preferred Qualifications One (1) to three (3) years related experience as Nurse Practitioner Experience precepting APP students License/Certification California driver's license (CDL) if required for position. Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position: AGNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC, ACNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC . Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner. Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer). Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments. Hold current AHA BLS as minimum requirement. Hold current ACLS State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice. Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1. UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
