THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Investigator to compile and perform advanced transactional fraud detection/prevention/ investigation work at the direction of department management within the Fraud Control Group.

THE STARTING RATE:

  • $27/hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Collect and analyze complex sensitive data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical inferences independently. Process, integrate and interpret broad and complex information.

  • Evaluate and investigate potential fraudulent behavior across all revenue streams and business units and securely maintain documentation.

  • Recommend training material and coaching/guidance to staff in all operational areas in identifying and combating Fraud prevention activities and investigations.

  • Perform department research and compile accurate, complete and organized source documentation to substantiate department investigations for presentation to internal and external business partners, Legal Counsel and Law Enforcement.

  • Identify and evaluate potential risk factors in the audit area assigned.

  • Recommend potential process improvements for increased business performance and efficiencies.

  • Import and export data to and from applications in Microsoft Programs, or other Business Intelligence tools, for data analysis.

  • Procure and review surveillance video to identify potential fraudulent behavior and support department investigations.

  • Conduct investigations in accordance with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Code of Professional Standards and make recommendations and escalate to Sr Investigator

  • Comply with all management directives, policies and procedures.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience in loss prevention, gaming surveillance, or fraud detection in the credit card industry.
