The Opportunity:

The Assistant Director for Student and Family Engagement & Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of philanthropy among students and their families. This position oversees events, communications, and initiatives to educate, engage, and inspire participation in university programs. By managing the 4EVER KNIGHTS student ambassador group and coordinating family-focused programming, the Assistant Director ensures meaningful connections to the UCF community.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead Student Engagement Efforts: Execute the student engagement and philanthropy program, including managing solicitations, events, and campaigns to educate students about the importance of private support and increase participation.

  • Manage 4EVER KNIGHTS Program: Provide leadership to the student ambassador group through engagement, training, website management, and oversight of volunteer hour requirements.

  • Welcome Graduates to UCF Alumni: Coordinate events, digital experiences, campaigns, and communications to transition graduating students into the UCF Alumni family.

  • Organize Family Events: Plan and facilitate family-focused events such as the Family Weekend Tailgate, College Admissions Workshop, and Parent Council gatherings.

  • Oversee Operations: Manage vendors, contracts, and budgets for student and family engagement programming.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • University of Central Florida Alumnus preferred or familiarity with the University of Central Florida is a plus.

  • Experience in fundraising, nonprofit, or higher education fundraising setting.

  • Proven experience in student engagement, event coordination, or family programming.

  • Strong leadership skills, particularly in managing student ambassador or volunteer programs.

  • Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.

  • Creativity in designing campaigns and events to inspire participation and philanthropy.


The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:


  • Knowledge of digital platforms and tools to enhance engagement and program visibility.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to foster relationships across teams and audiences.

Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
