What You Will Do:

This position will be responsible for executing the Enrollment and Outreach strategic plan to meet and exceed new student enrollment goals. As such, primary job functions for this position include: 1) building relationships with school and outside organization partners 2) participating and conducting local and regional recruitment events and 3) working with students to ensure they successfully move through the enrollment process.



Essential Responsibilities

    Maintains a high level of knowledge regarding program and the enrollment process and is able to communicate, both orally and in written form, NLU's admission requirements, program offerings, basic financial aid requirements, and scholarship opportunities with any prospective students as well as stakeholders.
  • Contacts prospective students and determines their educational need. Assess and promptly responds to the needs and concerns of prospective students, via email, social media, phone and in person. Monitor systems tasks list to ensure all inquiries and tasks are completed in a timely manner. Meet or exceed high contact strategy plan.
  • Prepares reports of activities and tracking of prospects' and suspects' inquiries, applications, and student outcomes up to and including enrollment.
  • Builds relationships and act as the primary point of contact for partners to build knowledge of NLU community and generate inquiries. Actively pursues new educational partners for NLU through outreach and networking activities.
  • Develops and maintains a network of relationships that will serve to increase enrollment, such as alumni, current students, the business community, professional organizations, and student groups. Actively plans, attends and documents attendance at information sessions, school and district events, education fairs and community events.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to management regarding recruiting strategies, customer service, communication, and recruitment programs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with students in an educational setting and/or experience in a sales environment.
  • 1-3 year of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Additionally experienced Student Information Systems. Knowledge of social media tools such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter.
