Job Title: Data Governance lead (Remote)

Job summary:

We are seeking an expert Architect with 8 to 10 years of experience in data management and governance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Infa Cloud Data Gov & Catalog Data Management Functional and other related technologies. This role is hybrid and requires no travel.

Roles/Responsibilities
  • Own the design and implementation of data governance frameworks using Infa Cloud Data Gov & Catalog.
  • Supervise the integration of data management solutions to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility.
  • Provide technical expertise in Infa Cloud Metadata Cmd Center to improve data cataloging and metadata management.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement Informatica AXON Data Govern for effective data governance.
  • Use DQG Architect skills to craft and maintain data quality frameworks.
  • Implement Informatica EDC to ensure comprehensive data discovery and lineage tracking.
  • Develop and maintain data management policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits of data governance practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Deliver training and support to team members on data governance tools and standard processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
  • Use domain skills in Supply Chain Management and Sales Planning & Execution to improve data management strategies.
  • Ensure that data governance initiatives align with the company's overall business objectives and goals.
  • Supervise and report on the efficiency of data governance initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications
  • 10+years of demonstrable experience in data governance
  • Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog or similar metadata management tools.
  • Familiarity with the architecture, security, and governance practices on Databricks.
  • Experience in implementing data access control policies, data lineage, and metadata management.
  • Solid grasp of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Familiar with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools like Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake.
  • Experience with data cataloging tools and data classification frameworks.
  • Superb communication and teamwork skills to get along with both technical and business collaborators.
Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until January 17, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
