Faculty Opportunities: Abdominal Transplant Surgeons
Department of Surgery - Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University

The Department of Surgery at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, is recruiting outstanding academic surgeons to join the Division of Abdominal Transplantation. Faculty appointments will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Division offers comprehensive services in liver and kidney transplantation-including adult and pediatric living donor liver transplant-as well as laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and both open and robotic hepatobiliary surgery. Expertise in robotic renal transplantation, machine perfusion, or pediatric transplant surgery is highly desirable.

These positions are primarily based at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, with potential clinical time at Nemours Children's Hospital.

Qualifications:

  • MD or MD/PhD

  • Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery

  • Completion of a 2-year ASTS-accredited abdominal transplant fellowship

  • Certification in abdominal organ procurement

  • Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania and/or Delaware
