Operating Room Nurse (RN) Lubbock 37519BR Position Description Provides nursing service to patients who are scheduled for surgery and during surgery in a Medical/Surgical Infirmary of a Correctional Facility hospital. Major/Essential Functions Communicates patient data using EMR to support decision-making to improve patient care. Assists with or performs exams and procedures and documents intervention in EMR. Prepares and operates necessary equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments, and procedures. Oversee sterilization process of instruments. Orders Supplies. Provides nursing care to the patient in the recovery room setting. Night Shift Employees: Earn an extra $4.00 per hour for shifts worked Monday through Friday. Earn an extra $8.00 per hour for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday. Required Qualifications Education: Graduate from an approved accredited school of nursing. License/Certification: Current license as a Registered Nurse as approved by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or have the ability to transfer RN license to Texas. Experience: At least two years of specific operating room experience.
