Overview
The Vermont Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking a dedicated and inclusive HR Business Partner II to join our collaborative team. This role will support diverse agencies, including the Agency of Natural Resources (ANR), the Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets (AAFM), and other small departments. The ideal candidate will thrive in working with employees and management at all levels, demonstrating strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize effectively, and adaptability to changing demands in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, such as position management, assisting with talent acquisition, records management, medical leave management, reasonable accommodation requests, performance management, supervisory coaching, and labor relations. Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting, but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. Strong differences of opinion may be encountered in dealing with employee grievances, union representatives, or members of management. Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years or more of experience in the field of human resources that includes employee relations or labor relations. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. Supervisory experience. Labor Relations experience. Total Compensation
