IT Security Manager

Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Pay From:
$125,000 per year

MUST:

Active Public Trust and eligible for DoD Secret with ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance

Experienced IT Security Manager

10+ years of progressive IT experience

5+ years of extensive IT Security experience

3+ years of experience managing teams of 4+ people supporting enterprise IT environments

Past experience as an ISSO is desired

Strong knowledge of current DoD security protocols (NIST 800.53 and RMF)

Strong Tenable experience

Knowledge and familiarity with other common information technology tools and their capabilities such as BigFix, Splunk, and CrowdStrike

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Ability to present technical information to non-technical senior staff members

Strong organizational and project management skills

Active IAM III Certification : CISSP, CISM, CCISO, or GSLC

PMP certification is a strong plus

Bachelors Degree or an additional 8 years of experience is required

DUTIES:

Will provide leadership and management to a medium size team of cyber security personnel

Collect meaningful metrics and key performance indicators for reporting Cyber Security threats and trends

Ensure daily report and any other cyber or system security reporting deadlines are met

Escalate or oversee the escalation of Cyber Security issues in accordance with organizational policy

Oversee ongoing operations of security assets to ensure that a defense in depth security model is in place

Exhibit technical skill in configuring and maintaining Cyber Security tools

Collect meaningful metrics and key performance indicators for reporting cybersecurity threats and trends

Produce communications both oral and written to a variety of audiences

Will help propose, coordinate, implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies

Assess threat reports and threat intelligence to inform operational and policy decisions

Review vulnerability scans and approve associated mitigation strategies
