We have an opening on our Donor Recruitmentteam for a Emerging Markets Account Manager who is responsible for working with blood drive coordinators and donor groups to achieve blood collection targets for area blood drives. Under limited supervision, identify, cultivate, and pursue a diverse population of blood sponsors to expand market growth. Provide ongoing support to develop and implement new and existing strategies for the program. Conduct research, analyze data, and develop business plans to support the diversification initiatives. Facilitate outreach and negotiations with potential clients and develop potential diverse sponsor leads. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Sickle Cell disease occurs in 1 in 365 births of African descent. A sickle cell patient can require multiple blood transfusions per year throughout their lifetime. Sickle cell patients are more likely to find a compatible blood match from a donor of the same race or ethnic group.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD:

  • In partnership with Donor Recruitment leadership, design, develop and implement a strategic market plan strategy to effectively identify, cultivate and expand a diversified population of blood sponsors within assigned territory.
  • Manage complex internal and external stakeholder management, including project management and executive-level relationship development.
  • Analyze data, conduct research, identify trends, conduct business plan analyses and feasibility studies specifically to identify advantageous strategic business directions. Prepare reports and recommendations for management review.
  • Implement specific blood sponsor collection initiatives. Perform initial outreach efforts and persuade contributions through cultivating relationships and partnerships with key demographic - external constituents and integral growth partners to further the Red Cross' mission to meet changing and growing needs.
  • Support corporate communication efforts to external parties. May develop and disseminate communication and marketing materials to relevant demographic population sponsors.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and support contract negotiations.
  • Identify areas of operational improvement and assist in implementation of relevant action plans.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience required or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable.

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required.

  • May be required to travel to sites throughout the Red Cross organization.

Salary Range: 63,690.00 - 84,920.00 USD Annual
