Posting Summary
Grounded in our history as leaders in family-centered HIV health care, the Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Center ( FXB Center) at the Rutgers School of Nursing serves communities that are at greatest risk for health inequities. The FXB Center works to achieve this mission through the translation of findings to practice and policy, education, and research.
The Program Assistant will coordinate administrative and programmatic activities for the Northeast/Caribbean ( NECA) AIDS Education and Training Center ( AETC) Regional Partner Site at FXB Center.

Duties include:

  • Provide support for online and in-person trainings, meetings, preceptorships, and conferences. This may include registration, compilation of materials, webinar room support, meeting minute preparation, and document development.
  • Distribute and collect needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with NECA central office administration to enter training calendar into central portal and on other activities as requested.
  • Coordinate speaker agreements and payments in alignment with Rutgers University Procurement Services, Human Resources, and/or Faculty Affairs.
  • Submit requisitions and other purchasing requests for processing through the RU Marketplace system. Support staff in their use of the SAP Concur travel management system.

Minimum Education and Experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, social sciences, or another relevant field. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • One-year related public health experience.
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in the MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with distance-based learning platforms (i.e.., Zoom, WebEx, Teams).
  • Experience with web-based survey tools (i.e.., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
