Intercollegiate Athletics Job Description
The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Director of Broadcast to join its award-winning Mizzou Network/Broadcast Department. Duties and responsibilities will include: Managing assigned digital and linear broadcasts airing on the ESPN family of networks, including live sporting events (football, soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, wrestling, gymnastics, baseball, and softball), national signing day shows and press conferences. Overseeing the staffing and assisting with production of the main video board presentation and auxiliary displays at Faurot Field and Mizzou Arena. Serving in various production positions for events airing on the ESPN family of networks. Directing, supervising, and evaluating full-time and part-time staff during live broadcasts. Hiring and recruiting part-time staff and creating production schedules for them for each broadcast event. Training staff on various production equipment including: Ross Carbonite switcher, Ross XPression graphics system, Evertz Dreamcatcher replay system, RTS intercom system, and Grass Valley video cameras. Collaborating with Broadcast Engineers on the maintenance of production facilities and equipment. Attending all operations meetings on behalf of Broadcast Operations and serving as the day-of-game contact for Event Management staff. Performing other related duties as assigned. Shift
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights and Weekends as required by game schedules. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
