Administrative Coordinator - Nursing Administration - CFMH - Rocky Mount, VA

This position will provide day-to-day support to the Senior Director of Nursing Services at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital (CFMH) in Rocky Mount, VA.

Excellent customer service and communication skills needed to work in a highly dynamic environment. Will provide technical support. Utilizes computer skills to create and maintain databases, spreadsheet files, powerpoint presentations, Gantt charts, and graphs, ensuring accuracy, production and distribution. Collaborates with the supervisor/project manager on specialized projects to meet the needs of the business unit. Prepares monthly/quarterly reports.

Composes and maintains correspondence and various forms of communication. (electronic, written, verbal). Provides support for production and distribution of a variety of electronic and written materials including web pages, agendas, minutes, and reports. Maintains electronic files with up-to-date documentation. Keeps files and reports in a confidential manner.

Serves as a resource for department employees. Provides direction, answers questions and resolves concerns, making appropriate recommendations for resources and needs. Works closely with many disciplines to establish effective working relationships. Collaborates with department staff, supervisor/project manager on complex issues and needs.

Facilitates data collection and data entry using different software packages. Tracks and trends information, using analytics, to deliver reports according to established timelines. Ensure accuracy of data.

Maintains general and technical knowledge for areas of responsibility and assignment. Works with supervisor/project manager to plan and coordinate services required of the department. Serves as a team member on initiatives and may conduct and facilitate meetings.

Participates in project management activities as assigned, including provision of clerical duties or higher level involvement such as coordination of processes or events. May coordinate facilities, catering, information, invitations, speakers, and budget for events. May be responsible for coordinating projects.

Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education or equivalent 4 years of experience required.

Experience: Two years experience in data collection and analysis and/or advanced secretarial support required. Experience in emergency services or physician practice setting preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Advanced computer skills with knowledge of a variety of software programs, including Microsoft word, Excel, Access, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation or database software. Excellent communications and organizational skills required.
