Job Title: Security Command Center Operator - FLEX
Job Description As a Security Command Center Operator, you will be responsible for the 24x7 monitoring of all physical and electronic security systems. You will work with internal and external customers to assist with a wide range of physical security matters. You will communicate via phone, text messages, and emails to all levels within the organization and externally. You will perform access management tasks including badge creation, assignment of access, and removal of access based on policies and procedures. You will intake reports of suspicious, criminal, or other security matters and coordinate law enforcement, security, and internal response to a variety of security incidents. You will uphold the safety compliance standards inherent in our operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities and promote and support a culture of total safety. Responsibilities * Monitor the Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) system for alerts, alarms, and other events. * Respond to alarm events and security situations based on Standard Operating Procedures or policies. * Coordinate Law Enforcement response to criminal and security incidents. * Make notifications to various internal and external people or groups. * Operate CCTV cameras to ascertain the cause of events and coordinate response to those. * Perform access management tasks to create badges, assign access, and remove access based on policies. * Serve as the Central Point of Contact for the Corporate Security team. * Answer phone calls, text messages, and emails regarding security and access management. * Fill out appropriate logs, reports, and other documents to properly report on the activities of the Security Command Center. * Identify and report any broken, damaged, or non-operational security equipment for repair. * Check in visitors at designated locations. * Work with internal and external customers to assist with questions, concerns, and other reports. * Attend trainings, staff meetings, and other assigned meetings as required. * Complete required self-guided training to maintain company and professional knowledge. * Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills * 1+ years of customer service experience. * Strong computer proficiency and typing skills. * Good availability and flexibility in work hours. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Previous security experience preferred. * High level of self-sufficiency post-training. * Ability to work independently and make decisions without constant supervision. Why Work Here? This is a long-term contract position with the opportunity to be considered for a full-time shift on contract when available. All Operators are able to apply for full-time positions if/when available, and there are opportunities for contract extensions based on performance. Benefits include six paid holidays (eligible after 30 days) with premium pay for hours worked on holidays, and two weeks of PTO that can be used once accrued. Work Environment The Flex Shift is a part-time role utilized to fill in scheduling gaps, with an average of 20-25 hours per week. Shifts can be days, nights, and/or weekends depending on availability. Desired availability in order of importance: Graveyard (MUST), weekends, swing, weekdays. The Security Command Center operates 24 hours, and the role is 100% onsite with no remote work. Free parking and a team-oriented environment are provided, along with snacks. Training will include two weeks: the first week in a classroom setting and the second week on-the-job, likely during graveyard hours. Operators will dress in business casual attire, with specific dress code guidelines in place. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, Washington.
