IMMEDIATELY HIRING! AIRPORT FIREFIGHTER PART-TIME Opportunity

$11.00 per hour

We are hiring Airport Firefighters with a passion for firefighting combined with the drive to succeed and deliver high-quality care.

Job Summary: Firefighters operate and maintain a variety of fire apparatus and firefighting equipment participates in firefighting activities, emergency medical services and performs mechanical maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and apparatus.

Responsibilities:

Fire and Emergency Medical Services:

  • Responds to emergency fire scenes and medical calls by evaluating situations, providing emergency and non-emergency medical procedures both on scene and in a moving vehicle, and transferring patients to medical facilities.
  • Conduct fire safety, home safety, fire extinguisher and pre-fire planning inspections.
  • Provide information to the public, install smoke detectors, conduct station tours, visit schools, and participate in public education standbys.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Firefighter EMTs.

Communications:

  • Operates and inspects communications equipment. Conducts radio communications in a professional, respectful manner and in accordance with company and external agency policies.

Maintenance:

  • Conduct vehicle, equipment and facilities inspections as assigned. Perform daily maintenance of facilities by cleaning, inspecting, and any other facility maintenance deemed necessary.

Training:

  • Participate in all required training sessions, including, but not limited to; live fire drills, performance evaluation drills, ongoing skills maintenance, practice and training, annual OSHA drills, EMS major skills and any other mandatory Company training.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with Company policy. DUI within last 5 years is disqualifying.

Credentials/Licenses:

  • State issued or International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or (ProBoard) certifications as a minimum: Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials-Operations.
  • If assigned to an airport operation - ARFF, State, (IFSAC) or (ProBoard) certification is required.
  • State issued or National Registered EMT-B or EMT-P certification.
  • Current ACLS certification required if applicant is an EMT-P
  • Current AHA CPR/AED certification.
