Location: 5555 Conner Street Detroit, MI 48213

Inpatient/Outpatient: 100% outpatient

Case Load: Family Medicine, light case load - must be able to see pediatric patients.

Position Overview:

Ascension Medical Group Michigan has partnered with Stellantis to provide premium personalized healthcare to their workforce. We are looking for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant for the near site employer-based center in Detroit.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Medical Group and a large local employer to lead an integrated primary care team. Our multidisciplinary center includes Physical Therapy, Behavioral Health, Dietitian, and Pharmacist support as well as Primary Care for adults and children. Services include diagnostic imaging, lab, some pharmaceutical dispensing, and point of care testing.

Completely renovated space with all new equipment and furnishings.

Types of primary care visits include preventative care, chronic condition management, acute care, virtual visits, and vaccines.

The clinic treats only employees and their dependents that work for Stellantis/FCA. The clinic treats only employees and their dependents that work for Stellantis/FCA. Full service to the employees and no cost.

This is a temporary need until we replace our physician. Could be several months.

No new graduates will be reviewed. Must have at least one year experience. Very independent position; medical director oversight, but not always on-sight.

Schedule - (Department will provide as many hours as possible Provider can work)

Office Hours:

Monday & Wednesdays: 7a-6p

Tuesday & Thursday, 7a-7p

Friday: 7a-5p

Weekend requirement - No.

Call requirement - No.

In collaboration with a physician, provides for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions. Responsibilities: Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.| Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.| Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.| Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy. Licensure / Certification / Registration: Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: 1-2 years of recent and relevant work experience as a Certified Nurse Practitioner with 1st Assistant in the OR in Neurosurgery or Orthopedic Spine Surgery.

Qualifications:

* NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)

* PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

* NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan

* PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Licensure and Certification

* Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan

* National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)

* DEA, CLS, and BLS, required through credentialing.

DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.
