Job Description - HS Superba Heat Set Operator- 3rd shift (11pm - 7 am)

Position Summary

It is the responsibility of each operator to follow all job instructions and procedures to reduce error and ensure a quality product. It is essential for creeler operator and winder to work together as a team and to coordinate their efforts in order for Heat Set machine to run as efficiently as possible.

Position Responsibilities

• Check spec sheet
• Repair ends down
• Monitor machine condition
• Make sure yarn is laced up correctly and all ends are straight
• At yarn exit tunnel, thread ends through to the back of accumulator, up the mast and through guides and rollers to winder
• Fill tube holder
• Place yarn on dolly
• Pull 12 inch dye tail off of each package
• Mark out old label in tubes
• Push dolly to packing station
• Clean work area
• Push loaded racks of yarn from storage area to creels
• Operator carries full packages from rack to creel
• Use type of splice or knot as indicated on instruction sheet
• Obtain yarn from yarn container, place yarn in creel, splice or tie end to tail of cone in creel - monitor creels consistently
• If applicable, clip tape from cone tail
• Operate yarn entry end of Superba, thread yarn to CHS unit, blow end into box, start machine and run yarn into Superba tunnel
• Perform any duties assigned by supervisor

• Prerequisites Mandatory: Must be able to read job instructions.
• Preferred : GED or High School Graduate
