Position Function |
This position provides sports medicine services to student-athletes, with a focus on football student-athletes, including, but not limited to evaluation, diagnosis, management, treatment, rehabilitation and intervention of injuries and illnesses. This position works closely with the Ball State Athletic Administration, Director of Sports Medicine, Athletic Training Staff, Strength & Conditioning staff, and IU Health medical personnel to ensure a safe and healthy environment is in place for the student-athletes. This position also provides sports medicine services for student-athletes during open training room hours and is responsible for providing medical care during practices, games and tournaments, as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. In addition, this position has the responsibility of educating, supervising, mentoring and evaluating graduate students and interns. |
Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university by date of employment;
NATA certification; Indiana Athletic Trainer State License or eligible for licensure. |
Minimum Experience |
At least two years of related experience. |
