STV's Transportation group in Georgia is seeking a Site Civil Engineering Director to join the team.

This position's primary role is to process projects from notice to proceed to final project closeout including plan development, scheduling, cost estimating, specifications, and related administrative duties. Duties also include supervision and guidance as they relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Consults with the Principal Project Engineer to resolve project related issues.

This role emphasizes involvement in project management, project planning, design, production, and delivery of roadway and bridge related projects, with the ability to develop both professionally and personally. This position also offers opportunities to mentor younger staff and be involved in business development activities, including client relations, preparation of proposals, presentations, and contracts. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a solid technical foundation with an interest in growing our engineering practice in Tennessee. Experience with project oversight with both the design process and the coordination of a multidisciplinary team of design and quality professionals is required. Your involvement and leadership will be essential to performing at the highest level for our clients. At STV, your input and technical knowledge would also be valued while supporting project planning and aiding with proposal preparation.

Requirements:

Our clients include federal, state, and local governments, and private developers. Projects have varied degrees of complexity and a wide range of estimated construction costs including large scale site development projects.

Responsibilities:
* Minimum 15 years of experience in transit design or construction experience.
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
* Experience in managing large construction management rail/transit projects.
* Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills. Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, critical thinking and research abilities.
* Strong project management skills and experience managing multi-discipline teams as well as interfacing successfully with clients.
* Ability to grow existing or new client relationships, and an ability to generate new work and access new markets for the practice.
* Lead project team meetings and report up to STV executive management regarding status
* Provide guidance and oversight to technical engineering staff ranging from junior to senior level
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget.
* Prior experience providing direct supervision to staff, and direction to support teams.
* Mentor and develop staff.
* Assist in developing client capture plans and pursuit win plans, proposals, and other business development and client engagement activities
* Develop and enhance client relationships, serve as the primary company contact, and deliver quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client
* Manage all project aspects; scope development, qualifications and proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, design scope, budget, scheduling, staff management and coordinating work efforts, cost estimating, bidding support, construction administration, cost control, project communications and documentation, and cash management

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required / MS Preferred
* A PE license in GA is preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to perform project management responsibilities, working independently and in coordination with other team members and Project Managers
* Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients at varying stages of design/construction completion

Compensation Range:

$173,071.45 - $216,339.32
