General Information: The Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) Assistant Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination and implementation of the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education program, funded by the Virginia Department of Health. The SRAE initiative is a collaborative effort that emphasizes principles of positive youth development and optimal health emphasizing abstinence, communication, education and career success, healthy life skills and adolescent development in order to significantly reduce teen pregnancies in the Harrisonburg City and Page County areas of Virginia. The SRAE program is part of SexEdVA at the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services at JMU. To learn more about SexEdVA, visit www.sexedva.org. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist Program Manager in implementation of SRAE programming, dissemination, and recruitment efforts. Qualifications: * Knowledge of adolescent development and best practices in teen pregnancy prevention.
