Job Description

Pay Range: $70,000 to $86,400 per year.

Plan preventative and predictive maintenance by developing and analyzing downtime reports and determine the root cause of the downtime through failure investigation, maintenance records, interviewing maintenance/production staff and analyzing the equipment.Chart all progress from these reports and analyze data.

  • Plan and generate PMs for plant maintenance technicians.
  • Review completed PMs for accuracy and close out work orders.
  • Coordinate work with plant schedules.
  • Gerenerate reports to evaluate plant work,completeness and accuracy,backlog/workload, trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and train team members on procedures for inventory transactions.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and work order activities, including project and capital work.
  • Upgrade the preventive maintenance work orders as needed.
  • Develop and communicate consistencies between the shifts on troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance work order completion and up time.
  • Work planning duties to include. Evaluate jobs for parts requirements.
  • Kitting of parts.
  • Repairs and returns of spares.
  • Ensure all parts are properly available for scheduled work.
  • Analyze parts spending by piece of equipment and develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans based upon historical data.
  • Prepare and plan for purchase requisitions and purchase orders for all inventory needed to support this facility's needs.
  • Maintain Inventory Management:Through the development of BOM's for all equipment by identifying critical level of spares.
  • Manage Min/Max inventory levels.
  • Parts usage analysis.
  • Inventory Turns.
  • Manage other Foster Farms departments and/or outside vendors who are working in the facility in a maintenance capacity.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • B.A. /B.S. degree preferred or A.A/technical school graduate with a minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance; food processing industry preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of maintenance planning and performing root cause analysis of maintenance failures.
  • Must have knowledge of production equipment fundamentals (ammonia, refrigeration, technical, mechanical, electrical, parts types and uses)
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface on a daily basis with all support groups/departments.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, formulate and analyze data and make independent decisions.
  • Must be computer literate in Windows and CMMS environments.
  • Possess verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn technical terminology.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to work well with others and in a team environment.
  • High level of organizational skills with ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to submit and pass a drug and criminal background check.
