The Department of Agriculture is on the hunt for a committed and meticulous professional to join our team as a Field Investigator at Presque Isle Downs Racetrack. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Field Investigator, you will play a crucial role in issuing occupational licenses at the Presque Isle Downs Racetrack. The track operates under the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission (PHRC) while effectively enforcing horse racing regulations. You will assist licensees and applicants, expertly guiding them through the necessary forms and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include efficiently collecting and processing licensing fees and fines and ensuring meticulous record-keeping in the PHRC licensing software. You will also conduct thorough fingerprinting to verify identification for all applicants and licensees, guaranteeing that everyone is properly licensed and fully eligible to race. Your dedication and attention to detail will uphold the integrity of the racing community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Temporary full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in public contact work, including two years of experience in field investigation or law enforcement work; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Post Employment Requirement

  • A Commission Employee License is required for this position or will be obtained once hired.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
