JOB SUMMARY

The Revenue Cycle Project Manager leads system-level projects and process improvement initiatives to optimize revenue cycle performance, financial outcomes, and operational efficiencies. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders across clinical, operational, and IT teams to deliver projects on scope, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has the following knowledge:



  • Understanding of the entire revenue cycle.
  • Knowledgeable with industry regulations and payer guidelines.
  • Experience with various revenue cycle technologies; EHR, practice management. software, billing platforms and rev cycle analytics tools.
  • Detailed planning and organizational skills.
  • Risk management expertise.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Informative data analysis reporting.
  • Motivational leader.
  • Good negotiator and influencer.
  • Change management expert.


Work From Home: The successful candidate will be able to work from home primarily. The preferred candidate lives in the Greater DFW area. Additional details shall be discussed during the interview.

Shift: Flex shift, 8-hour days Monday through Friday

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required



  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or a related field
    Advanced degree may be used in lieu of years of experience on a year for year basis.


  • Experience
    5 years in healthcare revenue cycle management and project management
    Experience with Epic revenue cycle modules and IT-driven solutions


  • Licenses and Certifications
    (PMP) Project Management Professional Certification or ability to obtain within 1 Year

  • Education
    Master's Degree


  • Experience
    3 years managing technology related projects or consulting
    Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
    Knowledge of healthcare payer requirements, denials management, and regulatory compliance
    Familiarity with change management strategies and tools


  • Licenses and Certifications
    Epic certifications or advanced training


JOB DUTIES



  • Project Leadership and Planning
    * Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders to align with business objectives.
    *Develops full-scale project plans, timelines, and associated communication documents.
  • Stakeholder and Resource Management
    * Liaises with stakeholders and team members to set expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
    * Assesses resource needs, and negotiates with departmental managers for personnel allocation.
  • Revenue Cycle Optimization
    * Utilizes Epic tools for business case, KPIs, benchmarking and ongoing assessment of project success.
    * Collaborates with IT and Revenue Leadership to document key business objective, scope and tasks needed to enhance system functionality and automation in key revenue cycle areas.
  • Project Execution and Monitoring
    * Identifies and manages project dependencies, risks, and critical paths.
    * Tracks progress against milestones, deliverables, and KPIs; provides regular status reports, proposals, and presentations.
    * Troubleshoots issues, proactively manages scope changes, and devises contingency plans to address potential crises.
  • Performance Evaluation
    * Defines and disseminates success criteria throughout the project lifecycle.
    * Conducts post-project reviews, identifying successful and unsuccessful elements to improve future initiatives.
  • Process Improvement and Best Practices
    * Develops tools and best practices for project execution and management.
    * Identifies opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual interventions, and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Leadership and Team Building
    * Mentors and guides project team members, fostering professional growth.
    * Builds and maintains business relationships critical to project success.
