This is a technical development and support position that provides third level support for Cox Enterprises' Android, iOS, Macintosh and Windows desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, software, and virtual desktops. This position will provide support to over 1500+ local, remote, offshore users and computer systems. This position supports the design, development, and implementation of Apple/Macintosh and Windows technology to meet business demands. Good communications skills are a must. This position is responsible for communicating status on issues to team members and leadership staff. Other duties include configuring, managing, maintaining, monitoring, securing, and updating team members' computers and mobile devices. Due to the corporate environment, occasional personalized support for the Executive staff located on the Campus will be necessary. You must be diplomatic, tactful and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel. To be successful in this position, you must be focused on results, and you must be willing and capable of managing multiple project priorities, and support tasks concurrently within a corporate executive environment.

This position is in the Team Member Experience Client Engineering team and will require this individual to participate in any operational and on-call rotations such as off-hour implementations and to avoid or respond to outages, 40+ after hours support is necessary in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and configuration of operating systems and software applications.
  • Installation and configuration of hardware components for laptops and desktops.
  • Installation and configuration of local and network printers and other peripherals
  • Installation and configuration of mobile device applications, software, and updates
  • Be a highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Represent the team or group at technical and status meetings as required.
  • Maintain status of issues and their resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Stay current on new technology and propose ideas to the team that improve efficiency or effectiveness
  • Stay current on Industry certifications.
  • Prepare status reports for current activities and projects.
  • Maintain data integrity and file system security for the computing environment.
  • Maintain outstanding verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate seamlessly with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.
  • Resolve issues by conducting problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent solutions.
  • Research and recommend technical solutions that will enhance the support experience for end users.
  • Create, maintain, and publish relevant support documentation to assist all staff in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work in a demanding environment.
  • Takes ownership of customer problems and works with a sense of urgency to resolve incidents and problems.
  • Communicates status of progress to the customer.
  • Works with application development teams to identify application issues at the customer level and provide technical detail for development teams to accurately identify problems within applications.
  • Troubleshooting advanced hardware and software issues.
  • Completion of all support incidents within the Service Level Agreement.
  • Support for tablets, smartphones, and other connected endpoints.
  • Maintenance of computer organizational units within Active Directory.
  • Device management, automated configuration and imaging using IBM BigFix, JAMF, MS Intune, MS MDT.
  • Provide expertise for various IT projects by providing systems analysis and hardware requirements screening.
  • Conduct R&D on emerging technology, product testing, and performance measurements in a simulated development or test lab environment as a proof concept for possible implementation process.
  • Maintain a comprehensive testing environment for evaluating desktop hardware, operating systems and hosted applications, service packs and patches, security configurations and image deployment.
  • Schedule and report on the execution of the testing and validation effort as part of a formal release management process.
  • Create technical and operational documentation and updates for desktop systems containing functional and technical requirements along with process flows and guidelines.


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field
  • A+ certification
  • Current Microsoft Windows desktop operating system certification
  • Experience delivering Desktop Support in a corporate environment.
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems with in-depth knowledge of the configuration of Windows client operating systems
  • Experience working with Mac OS operating systems with in-depth knowledge of the configuration of Mac operating systems
  • Working knowledge and experience scripting with Azure cloud shell, Bash, ZBash, PowerShell, or Linux/Unix CLI
  • Experience with OSX terminal interface and usage
  • Experience with Macintosh endpoint configuration and management tools i.e. (Kandji, JAMF, Ivanti, MaaS360, Workspace One)
  • Experience with Hardware/Software Support and deployment
  • Experience supporting Enterprise and 3rd party software applications.
  • Experience supporting EntraID and Intune
  • Experience configuring and supporting CSP and OMA-URI


Preferred:

  • Apple Device Support or Apple Deployment and Management certification
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) a plus
  • Experience implementing and maintaining a comprehensive testing environment for evaluating desktop hardware, operating systems and hosted applications, service packs and patches, and security configurations for Macintosh and Windows client environments.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 as well as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP is desired.
  • Experience setting up virtualizations and delivering virtual desktop support
  • Experience configuring, implementing and supporting Group Policy in the enterprise.
  • Ability to work well with executive personnel on support issues.
  • Friendly presence and helpful attitude.
  • Good people skills and ability to work well with others.


USD 59,600.00 - 89,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $59,600.00 - $89,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
