A Brief Overview

A new initiative, supported by a generous five-year, $19.6 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies, has the potential to be life-changing for Philadelphia students and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Mastery Hardy Williams High School, in Southwest Philly, will become a healthcare career school, and CHOP will connect students to job opportunities with family-sustaining wages and address acute healthcare industry talent shortages. These job opportunities include careers in clinical care, hospital operations, sterile processing, healthcare administration, and more.

Talent Acquisition Coordinator - Career Pathways will support the program through coordination, scheduling, and talent acquisition support.

What you will do

  • Collaborate across Mastery and CHOP teams, assisting the Program Manager with operational program support of the Health Institute at Hardy
  • Assist with coordinating and organizing events for cohorts at each stage of the pathway programs.
  • Participate in the design and facilitation of career readiness and power skills seminars with students.
  • Support data collection and program analysis. Track all activities and student progress as they relate to programmatic outcome goals.
  • Assist in coordinating with clients for forecasting and placements for CHOP internship/externship and permanent opportunities, including partnering with the preboarding team for student clearances.
  • Utilize candidate tracking system, Phenom People, to create and manage events and track all student participation, including appropriate tagging.
  • Create and administer surveys and assessments, reporting findings and themes back to management for continuous quality improvement.
  • Manage CHOP (and talent acquisition) employee volunteer assignments and their projects, track hours as appropriate.
  • Assist with scheduling and logistics of the mentorship program.
  • Order and track expenses including supplies and resources.
  • Enact policies and procedures and maintain related documentation and databases.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required

Experience Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of administration, coordination or program experience required
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare related environment preferred
  • At least one (1) year of experience in HR, community outreach, or related field preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to navigate applicant tracking system; strong communication skills; ability to prioritize work and meet changing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working within underrepresented/marginalized communities is a plus
