Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm

Location: Sussex, WI

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Perform a variety of duties to include preparation, loading and shipping domestic/international shipments. Confirm accuracy of all shipping/receiving paperwork. Validates incoming and outgoing shipments. Staging and preparing next day shipments. Provide backfill for the shipping lead when needed. Coordinate inventory accuracy activities within the finish good warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for verification of shipments with bills of lading and making sure shipments are prepped to ship.
  • Controls and coordinates materials throughout shipping and receiving area .
  • Ensures all packages/pallets are labeled properly.
  • Validate information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming/outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing slips, or other records.
  • Prepares finished goods for shipment.
  • Operate forklift or other power-driven equipment to load, unload, or move materials.
  • Receive materials / inventory systematically in SAP and prepare for put away.
  • Maintains inventory by receiving materials into proper locations.
  • Utilizes staging areas to organize current and next day shipments.
  • Coordinate and schedule trucks to pick up all outgoing shipments
  • Takes initiative to examines shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Prepares parcels, enters data in computer system for shipments.
  • Handles preparation of international shipments for outbound including BOLs and commercial invoices
  • Ensures workspace cleanliness following 5S standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE



  • Minimum of one year Shipping and Receiving experience or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management Software preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic mathematic functions required.
