SCOPE OF WORK: The Anti-Trafficking & Victim Services Intern on the Safety & Wellness Team provides intensive case management to victims of crime and victims of human trafficking living in Arizona. They will work closely with the program caseworkers and Anti-Trafficking & Victim Services Team to provide culturally competent, comprehensive services to refugee, foreign national, and immigrant survivors. Additionally, they will learn how to provide trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based services that promote health and safety, inspire confidence, respects choice, and assists survivors towards self-determination as they become active members of their community. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Anti-Trafficking & Victim Services Supervisor and Caseworkers, interns will assist with the following:
LEARNING OUTCOMES: Interns will develop skills in trauma-informed case management, victim advocacy, and community resource coordination. They will gain experience in direct client support, service referrals, and program documentation while working with diverse refugee and immigrant survivors. This internship provides insight into anti-trafficking efforts, social services, and the collaborative work of a victim services program. REQUIREMENTS:
Note: This is an unpaid internship, must commit to between 10-15 hours a week for a 3 month minimum. Internship hours can only be completed between Mon- Friday 9- 5 pm.
