Safely and efficiently operates converting bag machine(s) in accordance within waste, efficiency and quality standards. Other duties may be assigned to meet the demands of the business.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)

No previous experience necessary! On the job training will be provided...

Understands bag-making process; operates machine and makes any needed adjustments (within specifications) to ensure production of quality bags
Possesses a full working knowledge of all machine safeguards
Ensures bags are in conformance with specifications and manufacturing instructions. Ensures that production reports are neat, complete, and accurate to maintain traceability. Accurately input data into the Production Operating System.
Performs clear and checks as required. Maintains a clean and safe working area around assigned machine(s) perform housekeeping duties on a daily basis (sweeping, trash, waste). Thoroughly understands pressure, dwell and temperature systems. Performs quality tests and measurements as needed to trouble shoot machine. Proficiently operates 1- 3 bag-making machines simultaneously
Proficiently performs set-ups with waste at acceptable levels and within specified time frames. Participates in all gang changes when assigned machines are in operation. Update the visual management board for production, quality and EHS on an hourly basis. Transport Waste to Warehouse and Return excess stock to inventory. Identifies product codes for raw materials as well as finished goods
Assists Quality Technicians in making and taping boxes. Coordinates supply of materials with material handlers when required. Participates in monthly safety observations monthly Participates as a team player who respectfully communicates, shares knowledge and cooperates with other team members
Very strong technical skills in bag making process.
Excellent work history and a good attendance record.
Documented effective performance in current position with no disciplinary issues.
Associate meets or exceeds cultural expectations.
Ability to interpret measurement data (measurements and charts).
Strong mechanical aptitude.
