Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
The Industrial & Systems Engineering Department at NC A&T State University invites applications for a full-time, postdoctoral research associate position in Cognitive engineering, human judgment and decision making, human machine teaming, neuroergonomics, and brain computer interface.
This is a non-tenure-track and two-year appointment. Strong understanding of demonstrated track record in defense systems, cybersecurity, data science, and AI and machine learning would be a plus.
The employee will carry out research on human judgment and decision making under uncertainty, human brain correspondence to environmental uncertainty, and human trust in automation under the faculty and normal conditions.
The employee will be supporting Trustworthy
CPDS via AI and Shared Autonomy (
TCASA), funded by the Office of Naval Research, project through original research, collaboration with other team members, development and internal evaluation of reports, facilitating the research meetings within the team, mentoring students, and technically and financially overseeing projects' milestones.
The employee will also contribute to additional proposal efforts, thereby strengthening North Carolina A&T State University's ability to attract external funding.
The employee will publish research results, in collaboration with Professor, in recognized journals.
The employee will share student mentoring with the Professor and will participate in departmental seminars and other professional activities as assigned.
The candidate will also be working with both graduate and undergraduate students in a mentoring role and will be involved in conducting workshops, and seminars.
