Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our downtown Denver office, we are seeking a Pledge to Diversity Legal Summer Intern.

The Pledge to Diversity Legal Summer Intern will assist the Gates Legal Department with commercial contracts, employment and labor issues, ongoing litigation, and compliance matters, and will gain exposure to the large variety of legal issues facing global organizations today.

Examples of assignments the Legal Intern will work on, under the supervision and direction of in-house licensed attorneys include:



  • Research on various legal issues including but not limited to compliance, labor and employment, and commercial law;
  • Assistance with preparation and delivery of training on compliance related topics or recent changes in the law;
  • Drafting and revision of corporate policies;
  • Drafting responses to demand letters or other correspondence; and
  • Assistance and support with drafting of commercial contracts, and related documents and negotiation planning.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Currently in the Pledge to Diversity Program;
  • Currently enrolled in 1L;
  • A demonstrated interest in transactional law, commercial litigation, employment law, and/or global compliance;


  • Excited to work in the office with great teammates; and
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

PAY & BENEFITS

  2. Hourly Rate: $25.00 an hour
