Job Title: Application Development - Software Developer (Middleware, Python, Django) Job Description We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team in Sunnyvale, focusing on the XumoTV experience. This role involves executing both manual and automated tests, supporting hiring managers, and writing and executing test scripts. The ideal candidate will spend 10-20% of their day coding in Python and will work closely with internal teams to ensure the quality and functionality of our applications. Responsibilities * Code software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements. * Standardize the quality assurance procedure for software. * Oversee testing and develop fixes. * Monitor and maintain operational readiness of Middleware Applications including those hosted in AWS cloud. * Identify opportunities for system enhancements and facilitate plans for application changes. * Configure and test changes to systems including reports, security access, and workflow. * Perform and coordinate configuration changes to the production environment. * Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested. Essential Skills * 2-4 years of experience in testing, ideally with experience working on devices or in the entertainment industry. * Proven experience with developing in Python, including writing test scripts from scratch. * Experience with documentation and bug fixes in a testing environment. * Ability to work in a collaborative environment and coach team members. * Moderate-level implementation skills in building highly scalable services (SOAP and REST). * Experience consuming API/web-based services and knowledge of HTTP and TCP/IP. * A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. Additional Skills & Qualifications * May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. * Experience with additional scripting languages such as Ruby is a plus. * Moderate-level implementation skills with the Core Spring Framework and sub-projects like Spring JMS, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Integration. * Skilled at building modern REST Web services. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
