JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Part-Time Support, Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Penn State is currently seeking a part-time worker to support the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, which provides professional development and career support for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations. As a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you can play an integral role in Penn State's future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.

Reporting to the Director of DEIB and working closely with the Associate Director, this position will:

  • Support logistics for professional development programs, internship program, including sourcing speakers, securing venue and AV, coordinating with finance team, and other duties related

  • Manage participant outreach for division-wide common read program

  • Create marketing and promotions for professional development events

  • Perform benchmarking research and analyze assessment data to prepare reports on best practices

  • Manage program registration and attendance process

  • Maintain program supplies, keep up-to-date inventory, and reorder as needed

  • Support the DEIB office and the Division of Development and Alumni Relations initiatives

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A dedication to and understanding of the skills required to build relationships with diverse communities;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within higher education;

  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;

  • A proven ability to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team;

  • A commitment to professional development, learning, and being mentored.
