Executive Position Summary
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Communications & Marketing, the Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Marketing will lead the development and execution of CPS Energy's comprehensive marketing, public relations, and internal/external communications strategies, as well as ensure operational excellence and process execution. The Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Marketing will work with the team to develop world-class internal and external communications plans for CPS Energy, directly managing communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the Company's brand reputation. The Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Marketing is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of marketing, public relations, and internal communications activities to steer the strategic direction and elevate the organization's position across the community, region and industry. This individual is an ambassador for the organization and will build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including media. Tasks and Responsibilities

Experience in corporate communications and marketing with demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic plans to advance an organization's mission and goals.
Demonstrated experience in understanding external, community environments.
Experience in crisis communications.
Demonstrated proficiency using social media platforms.
Established relationships with reporters, locally and nationally.
Knowledge in leveraging customer insights to enhance customer experience and CPS Energy brand.
Experience with the integration of digital marketing into campaigns.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships.
Innovative thinker, with a track record of translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.
Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching teams.
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
Superior management skills with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive leader.
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interface with CPS Energy's senior management, Board of Trustees, and staff.
Ability to explain and translate complex concepts into information customers and the community can understand.
Experience in using various communications programs to execute and track communications efforts (e.g. Hootsuite, Cision, PR Newswire).
Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
Excellent and persuasive communicator.

B.A./B.S. degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or equivalent. Required Certifications Working Environment
