Summary

The Senior Fabrication Technician will process product and assist with process development across multiple sectors for Nuvotronics' PolyStrata technology. This individual will act as the area lead and as the key communicator between shift staff and Operations Management. As a Senior Technician within this team, you will be responsible for supporting multiple complex prototype and low-rate-of-production builds while ensuring a successful handoff to the production team. The Technician will also assist Engineering in performing DOEs and in data collection for new development and continual process improvement. Will need to pivot quickly between different products with different workflows, exercise judgement on builds, and make recommendations to the engineering staff. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Responsibilities

Execute processes used in the manufacturing of Nuvotronics' PolyStrata technology; assist Engineering with DOEs, data collection and analysis, and continual process improvement. This is second shift 9/80, 4:30pm-1:30am.

  • Processes product in order of Nuvotronics' priorities and per Work Instructions and/or Run Card
  • Guides the flow of product and priorities through their process area
  • Cross trains in areas beyond primary process responsibilities to support Fab workload demands
  • Inspects processed product using a microscope according to the Work Instructions and/or Run Card
  • Performs and record both product and SPC measurements according to the Work Instructions and/or Run Card
  • Ensures all production equipment is regularly maintained and calibrated per quality and production standards
  • Diagnoses, locates, troubleshoots, and corrects malfunctions and failures requiring high levels of skill for solution
  • Assists Engineering in performing DOEs for process setup and for continual improvement and process optimization
  • Assist Engineering in the development of new materials and new techniques for process improvements, throughput improvements and cost reduction
  • Performs basic tool upkeep and process area tasks
  • Identifies, reports, and documents any non-conforming product, process or equipment
  • Supports Nuvotronics' product development efforts, where applicable
  • Adheres to internal and external process standards and quality systems
  • Troubleshoots and corrects failures requiring moderate levels of skill for solution
  • Assists, trains, and leads other co-workers in manufacturing skills and equipment use as required
  • Communicates progress and records relevant data utilizing intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Requirements

  • Associate or 2-year degree in science, math or engineering field recommended
  • 5+ years' experience in microelectronics manufacturing, military technical training, or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a clean room for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs frequently, and stand or walk most of a shift
  • Good leadership, strong oral and writing communication skills

Cubic Pay Range:

$30.12 - $35.00 + benefits.
