Pay Range

$79,380 - $97,200 Annually for the A07.1 level

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting; pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.


Job Description

We have an opening for a Service Operations Specialist to perform a wide range of activities associated with ESN Hub VDI team's daily operations. The position is within the Information Technology Solutions Division (ITSD) of the Computing Directorate matrixed to the SMSG in support of the LivIT ESN Hub Program.

This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.

You will

  • Work closely with the team in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Be responsible for the configuration, peripherals, and shipping of thin client systems to various DOE and U.S. government agencies.
  • Tracking of thin client inventory in ServiceNow using established processes and procedures
  • Evaluate and perform process improvement on the thin client configuration and deployment process.
  • Receive and process thin client orders as they arrive on site using established methods.
  • Transporting thin clients safely and securely to shipping and communicate shipping information out to customers accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and communicate information, and prepare and present information.
  • Ability to interpret client/customer needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions to tasks and queries.
  • Experience maintaining service area forms, records, databases and documents.
  • Experience coordinating multiple work activities, workflow and muti-faceted processes for service operations area.
  • Advanced use of computers and a thorough working knowledge of associated software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, or Confluence).
