Opportunity in the Data Analytics Department:

Interested in data quality, EDI processes, and ensuring accurate data flow in a corporate setting? Our Data Analytics department is seeking a curious, detail-oriented student to join our EDI Data Intake team.

In this role, you'll learn how to manage, analyze, and troubleshoot Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) from external vendors-ensuring consistent, high-quality data that powers important business decisions.

Role Description:

As an EDI Data Intake Analyst Intern, you'll support efforts to maintain the integrity and quality of external data flowing into Safety National. You'll assist in monitoring and analyzing EDI data feeds, collaborate with external data providers, and troubleshoot import issues. This role offers a hands-on experience in corporate data management and exposure to SQL, data quality audits, and stakeholder collaboration.

You'll be mentored by an experienced EDI Analyst and guided by a dedicated manager throughout the internship. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience working with real-world data in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do:



  • Assist with receiving and importing data from external parties
  • Help ensure data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across systems
  • Perform basic data quality audits and help communicate findings
  • Support troubleshooting efforts on EDI issues and collaborate on resolutions
  • Learn and contribute to the implementation of data quality monitoring tools
  • Gain experience working with TPAs, vendors, and business stakeholders


Required Qualifications:



  • Actively enrolled in a degree program related to Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Completion of 60+ credit hours with expected graduation no later than May 2025
  • Exposure to SQL and a basic understanding of data querying and validation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Previous internship or project experience with data systems
    • Familiarity with data integrity concepts and EDI processes
    • Knowledge of tools like Power BI, Tableau, or experience with Snowflake
    • Interest in insurance industry, data governance, or compliance
