Requires daily onsite attendance; this is not a remote-work position.


Position Summary

What you'll do :

This is a paid Summer Internship Program (early June to early August). As an intern with the offshore projects group, you'll assist with the design and development of next generation IMR (Inspection, Maintenance and Repair) technologies such as unmanned surface vessels, system autonomy, system design, and robotic integration.

With multiple facets to the program, successful applications will get rewarding work scopes appropriate to their educational background and experience ranging from mechanical design of robotic systems to developing a data model to integrated system optimization.


Duties And Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities and projects will provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You'll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or data science.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, CAD system (ME, AE only), Python/R (CS, Data Science only), Requirements management tools,
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
  • No relocation or housing assistance is being offered.

DESIRED:

  • Exposure to physical tools as used for home improvement, wood working, automotive related and similar, programming whether as part of coursework or as a hobby

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
