About the Role

The Sr. Warehouse Worker contributes to HARMAN's NPI, marketing teams, and daily operations, supporting inbound and outbound shipments, managing on-site inventories, and supporting daily logistics functions from management, R&D, and other Northridge team members.

What You Will Do

Inbound Receiving
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products received in Northridge (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Collaborate with Harman's 3PL and 4PL to ensure timely cargo pickup for transportation.
  • Report any discrepancies.
Outbound Shipment Processing
  • Quote nonstandard transportation, communicate costs to Sales Operations, and get alignment on cost responsibility.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Collaborate with Harman's 3PL and 4PL to ensure timely cargo pickup for transportation.
  • Ensure cargo has all necessary documentation for the selected mode of transportation and is in alignment with the Incoterms.
  • Track and trace time-critical shipments and provide transparency to customers on expected dispatch/arrival dates.
  • Upon request, provide shipping documentation to customers.
  • Manage Loss & Damage claims with carriers.
Inventory and Warehouse Management
  • Execute inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
  • Complete diary logs into inventory
  • Report any discrepancies.
General duties
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operate and maintain preventive warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • High School Diploma and 1+ years of logistics/shipping experience
  • Min. 3-5 years related Logistics distribution operations experience.
  • Should have strong working knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, and material handling procedures and practices.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system, Warehouse management systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • English - excellent written and verbal skills.
  • High sense of urgency, with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Organized, detail oriented and must be able to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to use different tools, systems and assimilate information from various sources of information.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Deeper experience in warehousing and/or transportation
  • Quality mindset, structured approach in problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Pay Transparency
$ 36,000 - $ 52,800
Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
