Position Summary
Temple University's Project Delivery Group is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join its team of talented professionals. The Project Delivery Group provides planning, design, and construction management services for all of Temple's campuses. The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible and accountable for implementing, coordinating, managing, and overseeing construction and renovation projects. The Sr. Construction Project Manager may be assigned to provide start-to-finish oversight management and control of multiple projects and/or direct full management responsibility for some assigned projects, whether staffed by contracted personnel, in-house staff, and/or construction teams cooperatively composed of both internal and external staff.

In addition, on some projects, the Sr. Construction Project Manager assumes limited proprietary oversight of the University's assets and interests throughout the life of the project by administering and enforcing relevant construction contracts and documentation to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and scheduling of new construction, repair, and renovation projects.

In all relevant activities, the Sr. Construction Project Manager is accountable for effective management, control, and direct oversight of the assigned construction project's timely progress and achievements. Facilitates support personnel to effectively formulate, compile, and finalize project budgets, resource identification, and schedules. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* A bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
* A minimum of five (5) experience in construction and management, with demonstrated construction team management.
* Experience with documented budget responsibility.
* Experience in construction cost estimating, bidding, and construction coordinating.
* Must have a valid US driver's license or ability to obtain one if hired.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience
*
Knowledge of project management software (i.e., e-Builder).
* Experience within an academic, medical, or hospital environment

Required Skills and Abilities
* Must be able to work a highly variable schedule, including nights and weekends.
* Ability to coordinate with administrators, faculty, clinical staff, consultants, contractors, and governmental agencies in planning, designing, and executing construction alterations and renovations. Assures proper issuance and execution of building permits and monitors deficiencies and corrective measures concerning zoning, code violations and variances, environmental impacts, Infection Control Risk Assessments, and Interim Life Safety Measures. Secures the timely issuance of contracts, certification of payments, and other key documents.
* Ability to track all change orders and cost events for design and construction services. Confirm that change requests are outside the scope of work and properly priced. Assure that applications for payment are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
* Ability to work autonomously and provide mentoring and training to department construction project managers and student interns.
* Must be able to establish and update all assigned projects and reports to management on progress and cost using the e-Builder Construction Program Management software program.
* Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Demonstrated problem-solving, strong leadership, and team-building skills.
* Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
