We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage our data engineering and data pipeline initiatives. This role will provide people leadership, project oversight, and technical expertise, helping drive the delivery of scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions that support Target RWE's mission.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers focused on data engineering and pipeline development, providing technical guidance and people leadership.
  • Define and execute strategic IT objectives in alignment with Target RWE's product and data strategy, while serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding software development efforts, feasibility assessments, timelines, and progress updates.
  • Oversee project delivery by assigning and monitoring tasks, balancing team workloads, identifying potential risks, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and development standards.
  • Provide hands-on support with programming and analysis as needed, while mentoring, evaluating, and developing staff through regular feedback and performance reviews.
  • Assist with budgeting, resource planning, and forecasting activities, including estimating work effort for new initiatives and supporting functional systems development and maintenance.
  • Track and report project status regularly, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams, and participate in organizational planning and decision-making processes.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing high-performance applications using established software development patterns.
  • Experience managing and leading development teams, preferably across multiple time zones.
  • Strong technical expertise in Python, AWS, and data engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Skilled at identifying complex problems, analyzing root causes, and providing strategic guidance on remediation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Total Rewards

The salary estimated for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 + bonus + benefits. Compensation will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
