Schedule Details:Flexible schedule M-F, hybrid (remote and onsite)


What You Will Do:

The Clinical Research Coordinator will join the Research Institute and report directly to the Oncology Research Supervisor and Research Institute Manager at ProHealth Care (PHC) to support the Precision Medicine Molecular Tumor Board (PMMTB) and various other Precision Medicine initiatives within the work areas. The primary goal of the Clinical Research Assistant is to work directly with oncology clinic staff in the ordering, processing and resulting of Next Generation Sequencing test, as well as collect and submit patient information to the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center's (UWCCC) Molecular Tumor Board for developing treatment recommendations based upon clinical characteristics and molecular data. This role also aids in the acquisition of biospecimens for clinical research on clinical research trials. This position will interface with PHC oncology patients and staff, UWCCC personnel and a UW referral network. The selected candidate must be self-directed, demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with both patients and health care providers. The incumbent will work independently and as part of a group on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing projects based on deadlines and interdisciplinary collaboration. They will be required to assure compliance with protocol requirements and overall clinical objectives, including support of the strategic goals for the specified clinical areas and the Research Institute. Accountable for these functions at all PHC locations as applicable to the clinical area (PWK, WMH, OMH and DNG). The Clinical Research Assistant may be able to intermittently work remotely with approval and oversite from Supervisor and Manager.

Responsibilities include:



  • General Coordination: Provide study coordination for clinical trials as specified by the research protocol.
  • Genomic Testing Coordination: In tandem with the precision medicine team, coordinate genomic testing on patients with metastatic cancer.
  • PMMTB Clinical Service Coordination: Administratively coordinate the submissions to the UWCCC PMMTB.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical research
  • Experience in healthcare experience as nurse or other professional highly desirable
  • Experience with genetic or pathology preferred
