Warehouse Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee receiving and delivery for all freight, client product and package movements.
  • Maintain & distribute shipping schedule and receiving reports.
  • Estimate freight volume based upon case lists and coordinate with MC2 logistics team for transportation.
  • Maintain schedule for drivers of company vehicles for maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee maintenance of forklifts and all warehousing equipment.
  • Schedule labor based on exhibit freight loading schedules to maximize efficiencies and minimize waiting time.
  • Ensure piece count & visual inspection of all inbound and outbound freight takes place and that all damaged freight is documented and process as necessary.
  • Supervise and manage all necessary documentation to include: bills of lading on outbound shipments; verification of weights and invoices on all shipments; receiving reports and outbound manifests.
  • Schedule and supervise use of company vehicles. Maintain licensing and maintenance on all vehicles as necessary.
  • Schedule labor for warehouse based on loading schedules in order to maximize efficiency and minimize unbillable hours.
  • Ensure all properties are stored in an organized manner and that all storage locations are well documented. Ensure the warehouse environment is maintained in a clean, safe manner.
  • Ensure client properties are placed into storage in a timely manner after receiving them.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
  • Previous experience in all aspects of the shipping industry to include state laws, tariffs and DOT regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple details and adjust priorities
  • Ability to use hand tools, operate forklift and drive trucks
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
  • Must have experience with MS Office (Excel, and Word primarily)
