Assistant EngineerOverview: FPM Group, a well-established multi-discipline engineering, architecture, and environmental services firm, has been a trusted provider of innovative solutions since the 1960s. Our diverse project portfolio includes building renovations, MEPF systems, public works, infrastructure development, and environmental compliance. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Engineer to join our team at our Bohemia and Oneida locations. As an Assistant Engineer, you will work closely with engineers and architects in the development of construction documents, from the first field visit through the successful completion of construction. This position will allow broad access to all aspects of consulting experience and help develop a well-rounded skillset. Primary Responsibilities: * Assist in formation of construction drawings and specifications for public and private clientele * Perform fieldwork to investigate, measure, take photos, and document existing conditions * Perform calculations, analyze data, and generate decision matrices to support design objectives * Computer drafting and design using AutoCAD * Provide construction administration services, including reviewing submittals, shop drawings, RFI responses, and contractor coordination. * Client interaction and teamwork with other Project Team members Education and/or Experience:
