Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
Position is responsible for supporting the
CAPS in managing client relations, acknowledgment process, front desk discussions, and coordinating administrative communications, staff schedules, and other administrative tasks. |

Counseling & Psychological Services is an International Association of Counseling Services (
IACS) accredited unit in the Division of Student Affairs, offers a variety of services to help all currently enrolled North Carolina A&T State University students address challenges and difficulties they may face. Our services are designed to help students understand themselves better, create and maintain healthy relationships, improve their academic performance and make satisfying career and life choices. We are dedicated to helping our students by providing brief counseling from a wide spectrum of services. Those include individual and group counseling, outreach and consultation, training and supervision, teaching, psychological testing, and research. If more intensive or specialized care is needed, we will assist with making referrals to healthcare providers in the community. |

M-F; 8 AM to 5 PM |

* Answer all incoming calls within the Counseling & Psychological Services department
* Greet incoming guests and students with a pleasant smile and excellent communication skills
* Provide information to students regarding how to sign up for counseling services
* Manage and order administrative supplies within the Clinical setting
* Collaborate with the Counseling & Psychological Services Department to maintain accurate records for all students with day of appointments
* Organize and manage administrative tasks for
CAPS department
* Partner with the Clinical Counselors and Director of Counseling Services to discuss and coordinate all administrative communications, supply needs, and schedule changes
* Manage front desk duties
* Partner with Clinical Counselors to ensure all needed materials are up to date
* Assist Director with management of daily calendar |
